BECOME A CANDIDATE

Miss Connecticut

Gain experience through interviews, public speaking, talent, promoting your social impact initiative, social media promotion, and compete for the title of Miss Connecticut!

The first step to becoming Miss Connecticut is to enter and win a local competition.  Local competitions are held throughout the state. Once you win a local title, you qualify to advance to the Miss Connecticut Competition held each year in April.

HOW TO ENTER A

Local Competition

To compete for the national title, you must first register for membership in the Miss America Program. Membership gives you access to exclusive member benefits as well as the ability to compete in local competitions (where available).

If you win a local competition, you can then compete in your state competition for a chance to compete at the national Miss America or MAOTeen Competition —a process requiring hard work, talent and personal commitment. Along the way, you can learn valuable life and career skills and earn thousands of dollars in scholarships to help pay for your education.

After you register

You will receive information on how to register with a specific local organization. Then, you need to complete a Local/State Candidate Contract, Resume, and Social Impact Statement for the job of Miss Connecticut! These documents will need to be completed and submitted to the local director of the preliminary competition of your choice prior to competing.

Samples and instructions of these documents are provided below.
